23 Sep Our Annual Report for 2023 is Live!

We’re happy to share that AIGHD’s Annual Report for 2023 is now available online!

2023 brought about a plethora of changes to AIGHD. A new Executive Board led by Prof. Anna Vassall, Diana Numan, and Prof. Dr. Constance Schultsz took the helm in the first half of 2023. We resumed our Global Health in Context: Sri Lanka programme as we restarted our organization’s engines post-COVID, hosted a plenary session at ECTMIH2023, and co-organized the INTEREST Conference in Maputo, Mozambique.

Critically, we looked at the future of the organization in the sea of changes in the field of Global Health as a result of COVID and shifts in prioritization including pandemic preparedness and more explicitly interdisciplinary approaches to health. We believe that we’ve always been ahead of the curve when it comes to the quality and expansiveness of our research which is the result of the collaborations across the faculties of the VU and the UvA through us.

2023 saw our renewed strategic approach which we talk about in-depth in our Annual Report. Key highlights include new thematic areas such as People-centered systems and policies, our three-step approach to knowledge development, and a refreshed outlook on impact.
