Susan van den Hof
Dr. Susan van den Hof has 20 years of experience in epidemiological research, operations research, and surveillance of infectious diseases. Her PhD (2002) is on sero-epidemiology of measles, mumps and rubella. She currently is the technical lead of the research team at KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, one of the world’s leading technical agencies for tuberculosis control. She provides technical support to a wide range of international research and program evaluation projects. Recent collaborative projects with AIGHD include a pragmatic trial on the impact of introducing the novel diagnostic Xpert MTB/RIF in Brazil and India, and an ongoing programmatic evaluation of a novel model of diagnosis and care of tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis in China.
